FILMING IN MISSOULA:
For permitting questions, contact the City of Missoula Mayor's Office. Currently, the City of Missoula does not have a general film and/or photography process and does not require a permit unless road closures or major obstructions are planned. Permit applications, approval time, and relevant codes vary per type of permit.
ABOUT MISSOULA:
Located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Missoula is the center for commerce in western Montana. It is the state’s second largest city and home to the University of Montana College of the Arts and Media. The Clark Fork River runs through the downtown area which features many classic early-century buildings. Of significance is the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula and its 12 structures. Missoula is a starting point for connections to the Flathead and Bitterroot valleys.
