The DNRC, Trust Land Management Division is responsible for managing 5.2 million acres of Montana State Lands: forest tracts, crop land, scenic badlands, and urban tracts scattered throughout the state. To inquire about filming on State Trust Lands:
*Contact the DNRC’s Regional Land Office responsible for that area.
*Provide a legal description (township, range, section) of the land you are interested in, along with proposed dates and other details of your film project;
*A Land Use License, fee, and bond may be required.
