Lake Thibadeau Natl Wildlife Refuge

Lake Thibadeau NWR is located in Hill County, about 15 miles north of the city of Havre. The refuge encompasses 3,868.48 acres. It's surrounded mostly by cropland and very little native prairie remains. Lake Thibadeau is a shallow seasonal wetlands and in most years dries up, providing limited habitat for migratory birds.

To film in Lake Thibadeau NWR, commercial filmmakers and photographers will need to apply for a permit with the refuge’s administrative office using the Commercial Activities Special Use Permit Application.
