Over the past nine years of my documentary filmmaking career, I’ve had the privilege of immersing myself in over 100 projects and conducting in-depth interviews with over 200 individuals. I moved from Tokyo to Montana in 2023, and I am very excited to continue filming with a wide range of collaborators.
I am a director, producer, and sometimes editor for TV and web documentaries, docu-style commercials, and cooperate videos.From 2016 to 2024, I led a production company, ASHI FILMS, in Tokyo and worked for diverse media, serving audiences in the United States and globally. I'm very comfortable working with international crews and clients. Before my tenure at ASHI FILMS, I worked at a documentary production company in Tokyo, learning the craft of TV documentaries mainly for NHK, Japan's largest public broadcaster. Although I've worked with large teams for large streaming platforms, I also worked in small productions, crafting films almost entirely by myself and my partner.I have copious experience as a director and producer, but I can also edit and operate cameras, sound recording devices, and drones.
