In recent years, Max has directed, shot and produced numerous award-winning short documentary films that garnered screen time at festivals such as Cannes, Tribeca and Indi Short Docs, and most recently directed his first feature doc “Torn” which premiered at Telluride Film Festival and is now available on Disney+ with National Geographic Docs. Max also has a broad swath of experience directing and shooting commercial work with numerous brands.
In his work on documentary and commercial projects Max has worked in large productions in a more specified directing roll and also on smaller teams where he is producing and shooting as well. Shooting in extreme environments across the globe from the Himalaya to the Arctic Tundra, to sound stages and city streets, Max is comfortable shooting in conditions and environments many directors and film makers are not.
