Lara Tomov grew up in Montana and attended Emerson College in Boston. She was then based in Los Angeles for 10 years working as an AC, Camera Operator, and Director of Photography on narrative, documentary, and unscripted content. Her work focused on outdoor, social, and environmental content, largely international. She has worked for various networks including Discovery and National Geographic. In 2020, Tomov founded the media company Stories for Action, where she works as a Director and DP.
